Simplified URL Hash

The traffic has slowed down recently because I haven't been advertising the site so I decided to make some updates. Firstly, I updated the way the build hash is calculated in order to shorten the length of the URL. The build hash is half the length of the original. I also made the site run complete on javascript with no database queries. This should improve performance (not that it was slow before). I also made this update section so you could see what I am up to.
Why use MyStarcraftBuild.com?
I created MyStarcraftBuild.com so that anyone who plays Starcraft 2 has a place they can design build orders. As you create your build order a link is dynamically generated in the URL. Use this link on blogs, forums or websites of your choice. i.e:
- Forum Discussions
- Strategy Guides
- Tournament Matches (Show what the builds were for a specific match)
Getting Started
- Start by choosing a race from the top right corner of this screen
- Your available buildings and units will appear on the left side of the screen
- Your build will appear in the center of the screen as you create it
- The total cost of your build will appear on the right side of the screen
- As you create your build take note of the following:
- Your available buildings and units will be enabled and disabled based on your build order
- Buildings and units added to your build can be sorted and removed
- Once you are happy with your build, simply copy the URL and post it on your blog, forum or website of choice.
